It was founded by Deepak Nayar (Bend it Like Beckham, Buena Vista Social Club) as a vehicle to find and mentor new filmmakers that wouldn’t normally have access to the traditional Hollywood community. Filmaka partners with advertising agencies, brands and media companies (like us!) to produce a variety of content including short films, music videos, web content and feature films.
